Step-by-step

Remove both watch bands
2 minPress the band release buttons on the underside of the watch body and slide both bands out from the case.

Heat the display glass
3 minApply a heat gun set to low heat around the outer display edge for approximately 90 seconds to soften the screen adhesive.

Attach a suction cup to the screen
1 minPlace a suction cup firmly onto the center of the display and pull upward slightly to create a tiny gap.

Insert an opening pick into the glass seam
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass screen and the watch frame.

Slice the display perimeter adhesive
3 minMove the opening pick slowly around the perimeter of the watch face to cut through the waterproof adhesive.

Lift open the display assembly
1 minGently lift the screen from the top edge, hinging it downward so as not to strain the delicate ribbon cables.

Disconnect the display flex cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the display connector directly up off the motherboard.

Unscrew the internal shield bracket
2 minUse a precision Torx screwdriver to remove the small screws holding the metal bracket over the battery and charger connectors.

Disconnect the battery flex cable
1 minPry the battery connector up from the motherboard to safely cut all power to the device.

Remove the motherboard retention screws
2 minUnscrew the remaining screws securing the main circuit board to the lower watch casing.

Disconnect the charging assembly connector
1 minLocate the charging flex cable ribbon on the edge of the motherboard and detach it with your plastic spudger.

Lift the motherboard out of the casing
2 minCarefully pry up the motherboard using precision tweezers and lift it clear of the watch body.

Pry out the damaged charging pin assembly
3 minUse tweezers to lift the charging assembly flex cable and pogo pin contact board from the interior of the rear housing.

Clean adhesive residue from the watch housing
3 minApply a drop of 99% isopropyl alcohol to a microfiber cloth and wipe away old adhesive from the internal frame.

Install the new charging assembly
3 minAlign the replacement charging assembly inside the housing and press down firmly to secure its contact pins and flex cable.

Reinstall the motherboard and reconnect cables
5 minPlace the motherboard back in position, reconnect the charging assembly flex, secure the retaining screws, and attach the display with new adhesive.
