   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the tablet is completely shut off before opening.

   Heat Display Edges

   Apply a heat gun on low heat around the edges of the display for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep the heat moving continuously to soften the display adhesive without scorching the screen.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a heavy-duty suction cup onto the glass near the top edge of the tablet. Pull up on the suction cup handle to create a tiny seam between the glass screen and the frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not push the pick deeper than 3 millimeters to prevent damaging sensitive internal display traces.

   Slice Top Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully along the top edge of the display to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice Side Adhesive

   Insert a second pick and guide it along the left and right sides of the screen to release the lateral adhesive strips.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Slide the pick slowly across the bottom edge of the display to free the remaining adhesive.

   Unscrew Display Cable Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the metal bracket covering the display connector.

   Remove Display Cable Shield

   Use tweezers to lift the metal shield off the motherboard display bracket and set it aside.

    Pry the display flex cable straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Dampen a microfiber cloth with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and clean off old adhesive residue from the display bezel and frame.

    Lay down fresh, pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter perimeter ledge of the frame.

    Reconnect Display Cable

    Plug the screen flex cable into the motherboard connector, reinstall its metal shield, and tighten its screws.

    Align the screen panel carefully with the tablet body, then press along all four edges to bond the display adhesive.
