   Power Off the Tablet

   Turn off your Amazon Fire Max 11 completely before starting the repair. Disconnect any charging cables or external accessories.

   Remove the MicroSD Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole along the top edge to pop out the tray. Set the MicroSD tray aside safely.

   Heat the Display Edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer perimeter of the screen for two minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the glass panel to the frame.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the lower edge of the display glass. Pull up firmly on the handle to create a small gap between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a thin guitar pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert the pick further than a few millimeters to protect internal components.

   Slice Around the Perimeter

   Slide guitar picks around all four edges of the tablet to cut through the display adhesive. Leave picks in place along the edges to prevent the glue from resealing.

   Pry Display Open

   Gently hinge the top edge of the display panel upward like a book cover. Take care not to strain or pull the underlying display ribbon cables.

   Unscrew Battery Shield

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal battery connector shield. Remove the shield with tweezers.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic prying tool. This cuts power to prevent electrical shorts while working.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Unscrew the display ribbon cable bracket and pop the ribbon connectors off the motherboard. Lift the display glass assembly away completely and set it on a soft mat.

    Locate the power and volume button assembly near the top corner of the aluminum chassis. Remove the Phillips screws holding the metal button bracket.

    Remove Broken Button Flex Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully pry the damaged button flex cable off the inner frame wall. Peel away any remaining adhesive residue from the mounting surface.

    Install Replacement Button Flex Cable

    Peel the protective backing off the new button flex cable and place it into the frame recess. Press firmly along the flex strip to stick it down.

    Secure the Button Bracket

    Reposition the metal button bracket over the flex cable switch contacts. Replace and tighten the Phillips screws until snug.

    Reconnect Display and Battery Cables

    Align the screen panel near the body, reconnect the display ribbon cables, and snap the battery press connector back onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall Metal Shield Brackets

    Place the protective metal brackets over the display and battery connectors. Fasten them back in place using their original screws.
