   Press and hold the power button until the power-off prompt appears on the screen. Tap 'Power Off' and wait for the screen to turn completely dark.

   Remove MicroSD Card Tray

   Heat Rear Cover Edges

   Unclip Rear Shell Perimeter

   Slide plastic picks along all four edges to release the internal plastic clips. Squeeze the picks along corners carefully until the back shell detaches.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up off the inner body assembly. Set the rear shell off to the side.

   Unscrew Battery Bracket

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the metal bracket over the battery connector. Lift the metal bracket off using tweezers.

   Pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Never use metal tools for this action.

    Apply Heat to Battery Compartment

    Warm the underside of the inner frame for 60 seconds with a heat gun on low heat. This softens the heavy adhesive tape holding the battery.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Dispense a few drops of 90%+ isopropyl alcohol around the outer edges of the battery. Wait two minutes for the solvent to dissolve the adhesive.

    Pry Out Old Battery

    Slide a wide plastic pry card underneath the bottom edge of the battery cell. Lift slowly and steadily, taking care not to bend or puncture the battery.

    Clean Adhesive Residue

    Wipe the interior battery bay clean using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure no old glue or dust remains.

    Apply New Adhesive Strips

    Lay fresh battery adhesive strips across the designated slots in the battery bay. Peel off the top protective backing paper.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Lower the new battery into place, pressing down evenly to seat it against the adhesive. Ensure the flex cable reaches its socket easily.
