   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the phone.

   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or needle into the small hole on the left edge of the phone to remove the SIM tray.

   Heat Rear Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on medium setting to heat all four edges of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the plastic rear cover and pull gently upward to create a slight gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear panel and the outer frame.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around all edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive strips.

   Remove Rear Panel

   Lift the plastic rear panel away from the chassis and set it aside.

   Unscrew Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 16 screws securing the midframe to the inner chassis.

   Unclip Outer Midframe

   Insert a spudger or opening pick between the front glass assembly and the plastic midframe to release the internal perimeter clips.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Flex Cable

    Gently lift the midframe and use a plastic spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the main motherboard.

    Disconnect Battery Press Connector

    Pry up the battery press connector from the motherboard to cut power to the device before proceeding.

    Disconnect Main Flex Cable

    Detach the lower sub-board flex cable and main interconnect cable press connectors from the mainboard.

    Disconnect Screen Flex Cable

    Pry up the screen flex cable connector located at the bottom section of the mainboard.

    Heat Screen Edges

    Heat the front display assembly using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Insert an opening pick between the glass screen and the front housing, slicing through the glue along the borders.

    Remove Old Screen

    Lift the cracked display assembly off the phone, carefully threading its flex cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean Frame Channel

    Scrape off residual adhesive from the display frame using tweezers and isopropyl alcohol on a micro-cloth.

    Apply Pre-Cut Screen Adhesive

    Lay down fresh display adhesive tape along the inner perimeter rim of the front frame.

    Mount New Display Panel

    Feed the new display cable through the frame slot and press the new screen firmly into the adhesive-lined frame.

    Reconnect Cables and Reassemble

    Attach the display, interconnect, battery, and fingerprint flex cables, snap the midframe into place, and reinstall all screws.
