   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the rear panel adhesive

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium heat around the rear edges for two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to avoid damaging the plastic back cover.

   Slice through the adhesive

   Place a suction cup on the lower rear panel and pull up gently to create a small gap. Slide an opening pick under the plastic back cover and slice along all edges.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear plastic panel clear of the phone chassis once all adhesive is severed. Set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 17 screws securing the plastic midframe assembly. Keep track of all removed screws.

   Detach the midframe

   Insert a spudger into the seam between the screen assembly and the midframe rim. Pry around the entire perimeter to unclip the frame from the body.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off the motherboard. Always disconnect the battery before handling motherboard components.

   Disconnect the main flex cables

   Unplug the main display flex cable and interconnect board flex cable from their logic board sockets using a spudger.

    Disconnect the antenna cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry up the white and black coaxial antenna connectors from the right edge of the board. Unroute the wires from their retaining channels.

    Remove the motherboard screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips screw securing the top portion of the logic board to the frame.

    Lift out the logic board

    Gently insert a spudger beneath the bottom edge of the logic board and pry upward. Lift the board clear of the internal frame.

    Transfer the camera modules

    Unclip the front and rear camera flex cables from the original logic board using a spudger. Reattach the cameras to the replacement logic board in the same positions.

    Install the new logic board

    Align the replacement logic board top-first into the housing chassis, making sure no cables are pinched underneath. Press down lightly until it sits flat.

    Secure the motherboard screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips screw near the top edge of the logic board to hold it in place.

    Reconnect all display and antenna cables

    Snap the main flex connectors and coaxial antenna cables back onto the new board using tweezers and a spudger. Ensure each connector clicks into place.

    Reconnect the battery

    Press the battery flex connector straight down into its motherboard socket to restore power connection.

    Reattach the midframe

    Position the midframe over the phone and press down firmly around the perimeter until the plastic clips snap shut. Reinstall all 17 Phillips screws.

    Seal the rear cover

    Apply new adhesive tape along the frame perimeter, align the rear cover, and press firmly for 30 seconds to re-seal the device.
