   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before continuing.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the bottom frame edge. Push firmly to pop out the SIM tray and set it aside.

   Heat the rear glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium setting to warm the outer edges of the back glass for two minutes. This softens the internal adhesive bond.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass panel near the charging port. Pull up gently to create a slight gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert opening picks

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Keep the pick parallel to the frame to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice the edge adhesive

   Guide the plastic pick along the perimeter of the back glass panel to break up the adhesive layer. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 millimeters.

   Lift off the rear glass

   Carefully separate the rear glass panel from the frame once all adhesive is cut. Place the glass panel onto a clean surface.

   Unscrew the lower speaker frame

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly. Store the screws safely for reassembly.

   Remove the loudspeaker cover

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker bracket. Pry gently upward to detach the housing from its retaining clips.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Disconnect the sub-board ribbon cable
