   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply heat using a heat gun around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving constantly to avoid scorching.

   Apply suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back cover. Pull up gently to create a small gap between the cover and frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slice along the perimeter adhesive to separate the back panel.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the back cover off the chassis cleanly. Set it aside on a clean, dust-free surface.

   Unscrew lower housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the bottom speaker module housing. Keep track of all removed screws.

   Pry up speaker module

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the speaker module assembly. Pry up gently to free it from the phone frame and remove it.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery connector straight off the logic board. This cuts power to the device while working.

   Disconnect main interconnect flex

   Pry up the main flex cable connector from the bottom daughterboard using a nylon spudger. Lift the cable end slightly out of the way.

    Unplug antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to gently lift and disconnect the antenna coaxial cables from the lower daughterboard. Take care not to damage the delicate surface-mount connectors.

    Remove sub-board securing screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips screw securing the sub-board to the aluminum frame. Place the screw safely in your tray.

    Pry out old microphone board

    Insert a plastic spudger beneath the daughterboard carrying the primary microphone. Gently lever it up and lift it out of the chassis.

    Seat new microphone board

    Align the replacement sub-board with the housing pegs and press it down flush into position. Replace the single retaining screw to hold it firmly.

    Reconnect antenna and flex cables

    Snap the antenna coaxial connectors firmly onto their board headers, then press down the main flex cable connector. Ensure a solid, tactile click.

    Reinstall lower speaker housing

    Position the speaker assembly back over the lower board and press down gently. Secure all removed Phillips screws until snug.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Clean old adhesive residue off the frame using isopropyl alcohol, then lay down a fresh adhesive strip along the perimeter. Peel away the adhesive backing liner.

    Reseal the back cover

    Align the back cover over the frame and press firmly along all edges to seal it. Apply light pressure for a few minutes to ensure proper adhesion.
