   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the bottom edge of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the Rear Panel

   Apply a heat gun or heated iOpener around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid damaging the finish.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear panel, near the USB-C port. Pull upward firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap between the cover and frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not push the pick in deeper than 3 millimeters to protect internal components.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully along all four sides of the rear panel to cut through the glue. Reapply heat if you feel significant resistance while sliding.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Gently lift the rear cover off the frame once all adhesive is severed. Set the back panel aside on a clean, dust-free surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Fasteners

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding the upper midframe cover in place. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Detach NFC and Midframe Cover

   Insert a plastic spudger under the lip of the midframe and NFC assembly. Pry upward gently to unhook the plastic clips and remove the cover.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Always use non-conductive tools around battery terminals.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cables

    Unplug the display and mainboard interconnect flex cables that run over the top of the battery. Carefully bend the loose flex cables back out of the way.

    Apply Battery Adhesive Remover

    Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol along the upper and lower edges of the battery. Allow it to sit for two minutes to dissolve the underlying tape.

    Pry Out Old Battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger under a corner of the battery. Gently lever the battery upward until it completely releases from the chassis.

    Clean Chassis Recess

    Scrape away any remaining adhesive residue inside the frame using a plastic spudger. Wipe the area clean with a drop of isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the protective backing off replacement adhesive strips and stick them to the underside of the new battery. Press firmly along the strips to secure them.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Lower the new battery into the chassis recess, ensuring its connector aligns perfectly with the motherboard socket. Press down evenly on the battery to adhere it.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Reattach the interconnect flex cables and the battery connector into their sockets on the motherboard. Press down until you hear or feel a firm click.

    Reinstall Midframe Assembly

    Position the midframe cover and NFC assembly over the top section of the phone. Reinsert and tighten all Phillips #00 screws securely.

    Reseal Back Cover

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive tape along the frame perimeter. Align the back panel over the device and press firmly around all edges for one minute.
