   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM tray at the bottom edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Press a suction handle onto the lower portion of the heated back glass near the charging port.

   Create an Opening Gap

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the adhesive hardens.

   Lift Away the Back Cover

   Carefully lift the back cover off the frame chassis and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Bracket

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the upper midframe cover over the motherboard.

   Remove Upper Midframe Shield

   Use a spudger to gently pry up and remove the protective midframe shield.

    Disconnect the Battery

    Pry up the battery press connector using a plastic spudger to cut power to the motherboard.

    Insert a spudger under the speaker module edge and lift it out of the phone frame.

    Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pop up the main display and interconnect flex cable connector from the charging port board.

    Use tweezers to carefully lift and disconnect the coaxial antenna cables from the daughterboard headers.

    Remove the single Phillips screw holding the charging port daughterboard to the internal frame.

    Pry Out Old Charging Port Board

    Gently insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and lever it up out of its recess.

    Install New Charging Port Board

    Align the new charging port sub-board into its slot and press it down flush into the frame.

    Secure Board and Reconnect Cables

    Reinstall the daughterboard screw, then snap the antenna cables and interconnect flex cable back onto their headers.

    Reinstall Speaker and Battery

    Position the speaker assembly over the board, tighten its screws, and snap the battery cable back into place.

    Clean and Apply New Adhesive

    Clean off old adhesive residue using isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive strips around the frame perimeter.

    Reseal the Back Cover

    Align the back cover over the frame, press down firmly along all edges, and hold for 30 seconds to set the seal.
