Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons, then select Power Off on the screen.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply heat to the edges of the back panel for two minutes using a heat gun to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward to create a small gap.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the seam and slide it around the perimeter to detach the rear panel.

Remove the Back Cover

2 minCarefully slide tweezers under the volume button ribbon cable to detach it from the side frame adhesive.

Remove Volume Button Bracket
2 minUse fine-tip tweezers to unlatch and remove the metal retaining clip holding the volume buttons in place.

Push Out Old Volume Buttons
2 minPress the physical volume buttons inward from outside the frame to detach them.

Attach New Volume Flex Ribbon
2 minAlign the new volume button flex cable onto the frame wall and press it down against the adhesive.

Reconnect the Battery
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press firmly until it clicks.

Reinstall Motherboard Bracket
3 minPlace the upper plastic shield into position and secure it using the Phillips #000 screws.

Seal the Back Cover
3 minApply new adhesive strips along the frame perimeter and press the rear panel firmly back onto the phone.
