   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or heated iOpener around the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to create a small gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the frame and the back cover.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slowly slide the opening pick around all perimeter edges of the rear cover to cut through the glue.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear panel off the chassis and set it safely aside.

   Unscrew Speaker Assembly

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the bottom speaker module.

   Remove Speaker Module

   Insert an opening pick under the edge of the speaker module and pry it upward to remove it.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry up and disconnect the battery press connector from the motherboard.

    Pry up the lower main interconnect flex cable connector attached to the daughterboard.

    Use precision tweezers to carefully pop off the black and white coaxial antenna cable heads from the daughterboard.

    Pry Up Daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and lever it up from the bottom frame recess.

    Install New Daughterboard

    Position the new charging port daughterboard into the bottom chassis and press it gently into place.

    Reconnect Antenna Cables

    Align and snap the white and black coaxial antenna connectors back onto their daughterboard terminals.

    Lay fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter frame of the phone.

    Reattach Rear Cover

    Align the back panel over the device and press firmly along all edges to seal it.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the bottom frame until flush.
