   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray at the bottom of the device. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply warm air evenly around the rear edges of the phone for about two minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the back panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Press down to secure it and pull up gently to create a slight gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert the edge of a plastic prying tool or opening pick into the small gap created beneath the back cover.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slowly slide the plastic pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the frame adhesive. Reapply mild heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Remove Rear Cover

   Carefully lift the rear cover clear off the phone chassis and place it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Speaker Module

   Locate and remove the Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower speaker assembly over the sub-board.

   Insert the flat tip of a spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and lift it out of the phone frame.

    Use a spudger to pry up the main ribbon flex cable connector from the microphone sub-board.

    Gently pry up the head of the white coaxial antenna cable connected to the sub-board using tweezers.

    Pry Up Sub-Board

    Wedge a spudger underneath the edge of the microphone sub-board and carefully lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Inspect the frame's microphone opening for lint or dust, clearing away any debris using a soft brush.

    Place the new microphone sub-board into the lower recess of the phone and press down lightly to seat it.
