Power off device

Eject SIM tray

Heat back cover
2 minApply heat to the edges of the rear glass cover using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup

Insert opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic prying tool into the seam between the back cover and the frame.

Slice back cover adhesive

Remove back cover

Remove motherboard bracket screws

Pry up daughterboard
2 minInsert a spudger underneath the USB daughterboard to break the light adhesive underneath.

Remove faulty daughterboard
1 minLift the damaged charging port daughterboard out of the frame.

Position new daughterboard
2 minSet the new charging port daughterboard into the bottom slot and press down lightly to seat it.

Reconnect antenna coax cable
1 minAlign the coaxial antenna cable head over its socket and press firmly until it snaps into place.

Reconnect main interconnect cable
1 minPress the main ribbon flex cable connector back onto the new USB daughterboard.

Reinstall loudspeaker assembly
1 minLower the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard assembly.

Reconnect battery cable

Reinsert SIM tray
