Power Down the Device

Pry Out Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and gently lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Main Flex Interconnect
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry straight up and disconnect the main ribbon cable press connector from the sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable
2 minCarefully lever up the tiny coaxial cable connector from the sub-board using tweezers or the edge of a spudger.

Pry Out Microphone Sub-Board
3 minGently insert a spudger under the sub-board containing the primary microphone and lift it from the bottom enclosure.

Install New Microphone Sub-Board
2 minAlign the replacement sub-board over its recess in the lower chassis and press it down into position.

Reconnect Flex and Antenna Cables
3 minSnap the main flex connector onto the new sub-board and reattach the coaxial antenna cable connector securely.

Reinstall Loudspeaker and Screws
4 minSet the loudspeaker housing back in place over the sub-board and tighten all Phillips screws until snug.
