Step-by-step

Remove the console base stand
2 minUnscrew the center mounting screw on the base using a flathead screwdriver or coin, then detach the stand.

Remove the top side plate
2 minLift the rear corner of the upper white panel gently while sliding it toward the bottom of the console to unlatch it.

Remove the bottom side plate
2 minFlip the console over, lift the top-rear corner of the lower white panel, and slide it down to detach.

Unscrew the fan connector cover
3 minRemove the four T8 Security Torx screws securing the plastic cover over the fan cable.

Disconnect the cooling fan
2 minUse a plastic spudger to carefully lift the fan connector straight up out of its socket on the motherboard.

Lift out the cooling fan
1 minGrasp the fan assembly by its edges and pull it straight up out of the console housing.

Unscrew the metal main shield
5 minRemove all T8 Security Torx screws holding the large metal shielding cover to the chassis.

Remove the metal shield plate
2 minLift the metal shielding straight off the console to expose the motherboard and internal components.

Unplug the power supply connector
2 minUse a spudger to pull the 2-pin power connector straight out of its receptacle on the board.

Remove the power supply screws
3 minUnscrew the T8 Security Torx screws securing the power supply unit to the inner frame.

Extract the power supply unit
3 minGently lift the power supply straight up to disengage its two power prongs from the motherboard socket.

Insert the replacement power supply
3 minAlign the terminal prongs of the new power supply unit with the motherboard socket and push down firmly until seated.

Secure the new power supply
3 minReinstall and tighten the T8 Security Torx screws to lock the power supply into the chassis.

Reconnect the power supply cable
2 minPlug the 2-pin connector back into the motherboard socket until it clicks into place.
