My Dell Laptop Is Frozen And Won T Turn Off

Step 1
Perform a Forced Power Off

Do not let go after 5 seconds if the screen turns off briefly; keep holding until all chassis lights (power, battery, keyboard backlight) turn off completely. If your laptop has a physical battery disconnect pinhole on the bottom case, insert a paperclip for 5 seconds instead.

Perform a Flea Power Drain (Hard Reset)
Unplug the AC power adapter. If your Dell model has a removable battery, remove it.
