   Discharge the Device

   Drain the battery level below 25% prior to disassembly. This reduces the risk of a hazardous thermal event if the battery is accidentally damaged.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the hole next to the SIM tray on the outer frame. Push firmly to eject the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the Rear Glass Cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the back glass perimeter for approximately two minutes. This softens the strong factory adhesive securing the panel.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the rear glass panel. Press firmly to engage the suction and pull up to create a micro-gap.

   Slice Rear Glass Adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction handle. Carefully slide the pick around the perimeter to sever the adhesive bonds.

   Remove Rear Glass

   Lift the rear glass cover straight off the chassis once all edges are sliced. Set the panel aside on a clean micro-fiber surface.

   Unbolt Upper Bracket Screws

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the upper wireless charging coil armor. Keep the screws organized by size.

   Detach Wireless Charging Assembly

   Gently peel up the wireless charging coil pad and attached NFC antenna assembly. Lift it out of the chassis frame to expose the motherboard.

   Disconnect Main Battery Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the primary battery flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket. Never use metal tools near active circuits.

    Remove Lower Speaker Enclosure

    Unscrew the retaining screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly. Pry up the housing gently and remove it from the lower chassis.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol to Main Battery

    Dispense a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the visible edges of the primary battery cell. Allow 60 seconds for the adhesive to break down.

    Pry Out Main Battery

    Insert a plastic pry card under the bottom edge of the main battery cell. Carefully lever the battery upward until the adhesive releases completely.

    Heat Front Cover Screen

    Apply heat around the perimeter of the front screen to gain access to the secondary battery section. Work slowly to prevent overheating the display panel.

    Unbolt Secondary Shield Screws

    Remove the Phillips screws securing the protective metal shield covering the secondary display board. Lift the shield away with tweezers.

    Disconnect Secondary Battery Cable

    Locate the secondary battery connector on the lower circuit board. Pry the connector up off the board using your plastic spudger.

    Apply Adhesive Solvent to Secondary Battery

    Apply battery adhesive remover solvent into the gaps around the secondary battery pouch. Let it sit briefly to dissolve the strong factory glue.

    Pry Out Secondary Battery

    Slide a flat plastic opening tool underneath the secondary battery. Gently pry upward until the battery separates entirely from the inner frame housing.

    Install New Batteries with Fresh Adhesive

    Clean all old glue residue with isopropyl alcohol, apply new pre-cut adhesive strips, and press the replacement batteries firmly into position.
