   Power down the device

   Press and hold the Side button and Volume Down button simultaneously. Tap Power Off on the screen to shut down the phone completely.

   Heat the back glass panel

   Apply a heat gun set to 80°C (176°F) to the edges of the rear glass for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the warmed back glass panel. Pull up firmly to create a small gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert a plastic opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the back glass panel.

   Slice the rear panel adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Lift off the back glass

   Gently lift the back glass panel off the phone frame. Set the glass aside on a clean workspace.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the wireless charging coil and upper midframe shield.

   Remove the wireless charging assembly

   Pry up the edges of the wireless charging coil with a spudger. Peel it away from the motherboard assembly.

   Disconnect the main battery flex connector

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the main battery connector straight up from the motherboard socket.

    Unscrew the lower loudspeaker bracket

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding down the bottom loudspeaker module.

    Remove the lower loudspeaker bracket

    Insert the point of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker bracket and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the secondary battery flex connector

    Locate the secondary battery connector on the lower motherboard assembly and pop it off using a plastic spudger.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to the main battery

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and side edges of the main battery. Let it soak for 2 minutes to dissolve the adhesive.

    Pry out the main battery

    Insert a flat plastic prying tool under the main battery and gently lift until the battery detaches from the frame. Never pry against the motherboard.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to the secondary battery

    Apply high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the edges of the secondary battery compartment. Allow 2 minutes for the adhesive to break down.

    Pry out the secondary battery

    Lever a plastic card or flat prying tool under the secondary battery to carefully free it from the frame recess.

    Clean the battery wells

    Use tweezers and a drop of isopropyl alcohol to remove all old adhesive residue from both battery compartments.

    Apply new battery adhesive strips

    Place pre-cut battery adhesive strips into the clean main and secondary battery housing wells.

    Set replacement batteries into place

    Align the new main and secondary batteries over their respective slots and press them down firmly into the adhesive.

    Reconnect both battery flex cables

    Align and snap the main and secondary battery connectors straight down into their sockets on the motherboard.

    Reinstall the lower loudspeaker bracket

    Position the loudspeaker module over the bottom frame and secure it with the reserved Phillips #000 screws.

    Reinstall the wireless charging assembly

    Align the wireless charging coil over the top board and press down to seat the contacts. Secure all Phillips #000 midframe screws.

    Apply new rear panel adhesive

    Lay down fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the outer ledge of the rear frame.

    Reseal the back glass

    Align the back glass panel with the phone chassis and press firmly along the edges to seal the device.
