   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole near the SIM tray at the top edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and set it aside.

   Apply heat to the rear glass panel

   Use a heat gun or heated pad on the outer rear glass for 2-3 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Slice through the rear panel adhesive

   Attach a suction cup to the lower portion of the rear panel, lift gently to create a gap, and insert an opening pick. Slide the pick around all edges to cut the adhesive.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass cover off the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil assembly

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top bracket and wireless charging coil pad.

   Disconnect and lift out the wireless charging coil

   Pry up the wireless charging coil connector with a plastic spudger, then gently peel the assembly away from the phone frame.

   Disconnect the main battery flex cables

   Use a plastic spudger to detach both battery press connectors from the main logic board to cut all power.

   Unplug the display and interconnect flex cables

   Disconnect the inner screen flex, outer display flex, and interconnect ribbon cables attached to the upper logic board.

   Disconnect the rear camera modules

   Carefully lever up the camera press connectors from the motherboard using your plastic spudger.

    Remove the motherboard retaining screws

    Unscrew the remaining Phillips screws holding the main logic board to the inner chassis.

    Pry up and extract the logic board

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the logic board and gently lift it up out of the recessed housing.

    Apply flux to damaged board joints

    Place the logic board under a magnifying lens and dab a small amount of liquid or gel flux onto the target repair area.

    Reflow or solder board components

    Use a fine-tip soldering iron or hot air rework station to solder or reflow defective surface-mount components.

    Reinstall the logic board

    Carefully align the repaired logic board with the housing alignment posts and lower it into position.

    Secure the motherboard screws

    Drive the Phillips retaining screws back into the logic board until snug.

    Reconnect all camera and ribbon cables

    Press down on the camera and interconnect flex connectors until they click securely onto the board.

    Snap the main battery cables back into their matching headers on the logic board.
