Eject the SIM Tray

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and carefully slide it along all edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Remove the Rear Glass
1 minLift the rear glass cover off the frame completely and set it on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Wireless Charging Coil
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the ten screws securing the wireless charging pad and top bezel assembly.

Remove the Wireless Charging Pad
2 minPeel up the wireless charging coil carefully using a spudger and remove it from the device.

Disconnect the Batteries
2 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop off both battery press connectors from the mainboard to eliminate power.

1 minLocate the power button and fingerprint sensor ribbon cable connector on the motherboard and pry it straight up with a spudger.

Remove the Power Button Bracket
2 minUnscrew the single Phillips #000 screw holding the metal power button retaining bracket to the frame and remove the bracket with tweezers.

Pry Out the Power Button
2 minUse fine-tipped tweezers to carefully ease the power button and fingerprint module out of its frame recess.

Install the New Power Button
3 minAlign the replacement power button module into the frame slot, reattach the metal bracket, and tighten the retaining screw.
