   Power off device and remove SIM tray

   Turn off your Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side to remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat the rear glass cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to heat the outer back glass edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Apply suction cup to back glass

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass panel. Pull upward gently to create a small gap between the glass and frame.

   Slice perimeter rear adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges to slice the adhesive.

   Lift away the rear glass panel

   Carefully separate the rear glass panel from the device frame once all adhesive is sliced. Set the glass panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the wireless charging coil assembly and upper midframe shield.

   Disconnect and remove wireless charging pad

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop off the wireless charging coil flex connector from the motherboard. Lift the coil pad off the chassis.

   Unscrew lower speaker bracket

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding down the lower speaker housing over the daughterboard.

   Pry out lower speaker enclosure

   Insert a plastic prying tool under the lower speaker module and lift it out to expose the USB-C daughterboard.

    Disconnect main flex cable from daughterboard

    Use a spudger to gently pry the main interconnect ribbon cable press connector straight up off the daughterboard.

    Disconnect display ribbon cable

    Pop off the secondary interconnect ribbon connector from the top side of the daughterboard using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect coaxial antenna connectors

    Use precision tweezers to carefully lift the head of each coaxial antenna cable straight up off its board socket.

    Remove daughterboard retaining screws

    Unscrew the Phillips #00 screws securing the USB-C daughterboard assembly to the bottom frame housing.

    Pry up damaged charging port assembly

    Insert a thin pry tool underneath the daughterboard and carefully detach it from the slight frame adhesive beneath it.

    Set new daughterboard into frame

    Position the replacement USB-C daughterboard in the lower housing slot and press down lightly until seated properly.

    Secure daughterboard screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to hold the replacement charging port board firmly in place.

    Reconnect coaxial antenna cables

    Align the coaxial cable heads over their sockets on the new daughterboard and press down gently until they click into place.

    Reconnect main and display flex cables

    Snap the main interconnect flex connector and secondary ribbon cable back onto their corresponding daughterboard headers.

    Reinstall lower speaker housing

    Seat the lower speaker assembly back over the daughterboard and press down around the edges. Secure it with its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach wireless charging pad

    Lay the wireless charging coil back in place, reconnect its ribbon cable to the mainboard, and tighten all remaining midframe screws.

    Apply new back cover adhesive strip

    Clean remaining old glue from the frame with isopropyl alcohol, then apply a fresh pre-cut adhesive seal to the perimeter.

    Seal rear glass panel and insert SIM tray

    Align the rear glass panel over the frame and press firmly along edges to secure the seal. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
