   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the side button along with the volume down button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat Back Glass Panel

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the rear cover glass edges for two minutes to soften the strong adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid localized heat damage.

   Slice Rear Panel Adhesive

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass cover and pull upward to create a gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap and slide it carefully along the perimeter.

   Remove Rear Glass Cover

   Lift the rear glass panel away from the chassis once all adhesive borders are sliced. Set the glass panel aside on a clean workspace mat.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the upper wireless charging assembly and NFC coil bracket. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

   Remove Wireless Charging Coil

   Use tweezers to gently unpeel the wireless charging pad and lift the plastic bracket off the motherboard. Take care not to tear the delicate flex ribbon underneath.

   Disconnect Primary Battery Cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to gently pop the primary battery press connector straight up off the motherboard connector. Never use metal tools to disconnect battery cables.

   Unscrew Speaker Assembly

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the lower loudspeaker speaker housing at the bottom of the device. Place the screws organized by size.

   Remove Lower Speaker Module

   Insert a spudger under the speaker module edge and pry up to pop it out of the frame. This exposes the bottom section of the main frame and secondary interconnect cables.

    Softening Main Battery Adhesive

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and side edges of the main battery. Allow it to sit for 2 minutes to dissolve the adhesive pad underneath.

    Pry Out Main Battery

    Insert a flat plastic card or heavy-duty plastic spudger beneath the main battery and slowly pry up. Remove the main battery once fully detached from the compartment frame.

    Heat Outer Front Cover Screen

    Apply heat around the perimeter of the smaller front cover display glass for 2-3 minutes. Maintain a moderate temperature to avoid screen discoloration.

    Slice Front Cover Display Adhesive

    Place a suction cup on the outer cover screen and insert an opening pick along the glass edge. Carefully slide around the perimeter to separate the display panel adhesive.

    Disconnect Cover Display Cable

    Tilt the cover screen open slightly and use a spudger to disconnect its display cable bracket. Remove the front cover display screen completely.

    Disconnect Secondary Battery Cable

    Locate the secondary battery connector on the upper motherboard assembly. Pry the press connector straight up with a plastic spudger to disconnect power.

    Softening Secondary Battery Adhesive

    Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol along the outer margins of the secondary battery. Wait 2 minutes for the chemical action to degrade the factory tape bond.

    Pry Out Secondary Battery

    Use a plastic spudger to slide under the secondary battery and gently leverage it out of the sub-frame cavity. Ensure you do not bend or puncture the battery body.

    Install New Replacement Batteries

    Clean the battery cavities with isopropyl alcohol and apply pre-cut adhesive strips. Press both new batteries firmly into place and reconnect their ribbon cables to the board.
