   Power off the device

   Press and hold both the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before continuing.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone. Push inward firmly to release the tray and pull it out.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply heat to the back cover edges using a heat gun on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the adhesive sealing the glass to the frame.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear glass panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a slight gap between the glass and the frame.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive.

   Lift away the rear glass cover

   Gently lift the rear glass panel completely off the device chassis. Set the rear glass face down on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 6 screws securing the top plastic cover and upper speaker housing.

   Unscrew the lower loudspeaker housing

   Remove the 7 Phillips #00 screws holding down the lower speaker module at the bottom of the device.

   Disconnect the main battery flex cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to carefully pry the battery connector straight up from its socket. This cuts power to the board to prevent short circuits.

    Pry out the top speaker module

    Insert tweezers under the edge of the top speaker assembly in the upper frame recess. Lift and remove the speaker from the device.

    Remove the bottom loudspeaker module

    Lever a plastic spudger underneath the lower speaker assembly and pry it out from the bottom chassis.

    Install the replacement top speaker

    Align the new top speaker module into the upper chassis recess. Press down gently until it sits flush against the frame contacts.

    Install the replacement bottom loudspeaker

    Place the new lower speaker assembly into the bottom section of the phone frame and press it into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard terminal and snap it down firmly.

    Reinstall the frame cover screws

    Place the upper motherboard cover and lower speaker housing back onto the frame. Secure all Phillips #00 screws until snug.

    Apply new rear adhesive

    Clean remaining old adhesive off the frame with isopropyl alcohol. Apply pre-cut adhesive strips along the edges of the frame chassis.

    Seal the rear glass panel

    Align the rear glass cover precisely over the frame and press firmly around all perimeter edges to secure the adhesive seal.
