   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then set it aside.

   Heat the Lower Rear Glass

   Apply heat from a heat gun to the bottom glass panel for two minutes on medium heat. This softens the factory adhesive holding the panel down.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the bottom section of the rear glass panel near the edge. Pull upward on the ring gently to create a slight gap.

   Slice the Perimeter Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created beneath the lower glass panel. Carefully slide the pick around all edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove Lower Rear Glass

   Gently lift the lower rear glass panel clear of the frame. Place it face-down in a safe, dust-free area.

   Unscrew Lower Bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker enclosure bracket. Keep the screws organized by location.

   Detach Speaker Bracket

   Insert the edge of a plastic spudger under the speaker bracket frame. Pry upward gently to release the plastic clips and remove the bracket.

   Disconnect Interconnect Flex

   Pry the main-to-sub interconnect flex cable connector straight up off the lower sub-board using a spudger. Do not bend the connector bracket.

    Disconnect Antenna Cables

    Use precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna cable heads off their sub-board sockets. Always grip the metal connector rather than the thin cable.

    Unscrew Sub-board

    Remove the remaining Phillips #000 screw holding the lower sub-board to the device chassis. Place the screw with the previous fasteners.

    Remove Sub-board and Microphone

    Pry carefully under the edge of the sub-board with a spudger to separate it from the internal frame adhesive. Remove the board containing the faulty microphone.

    Install New Microphone Sub-board

    Align the replacement sub-board with the housing locator pins and lower frame cavity. Press down firmly to seat the new board into position.

    Reconnect Cable Connectors

    Snap the coaxial antenna heads and main interconnect flex cable onto the new sub-board. Press down until each connector snaps firmly into place.

    Reinstall Speaker Bracket

    Set the lower speaker bracket back into the frame and press down until it clips in. Fasten all Phillips screws securely.

    Reseal and Reassemble Glass

    Apply a fresh precut adhesive gasket around the lower perimeter of the frame. Align the glass panel and press firmly around all edges for 30 seconds.
