   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Side key and Volume Down button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to eject the SIM tray, then remove it.

   Heat the lower back glass cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or hair dryer to the lower rear glass panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive beneath.

   Apply a suction cup to the lower glass

   Place a suction cup on the lower back glass and gently pull upward to create a small gap near the bottom edge.

   Insert an opening pick into the lower gap

   Slide an opening pick under the lower back glass panel near the USB-C port to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Slice along the edges of the lower glass

   Carefully slide the pick around the perimeter of the lower glass to completely separate it from the frame.

   Lift and remove the lower back glass

   Gently lift the lower rear glass off the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the lower loudspeaker assembly

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower plastic loudspeaker shield to the chassis.

   Pry up the lower speaker housing

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and gently pry it up to remove it.

    Disconnect the main flex cable from the sub-board

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the main interconnect flex cable connector straight up off the sub-board.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Carefully pry up the display flex cable connector attached near the lower sub-board assembly.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to unclip the red and blue antenna coaxial cable connectors from the sub-board.

    Remove the sub-board retaining screws

    Unscrew the remaining Phillips #000 screws holding the USB-C port sub-board assembly to the bottom case.

    Pry out the damaged sub-board assembly

    Gently wedge a spudger beneath the sub-board and lift the charging port assembly out of the phone frame.

    Position the new charging port sub-board

    Align the replacement USB-C sub-board into the lower housing of the frame.

    Secure the new sub-board with screws

    Reinstall the Phillips #000 screws to firmly fasten the new sub-board to the frame.

    Reconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Snap the antenna cables back onto their respective terminals on the sub-board using tweezers.

    Reconnect the display and interconnect flex cables

    Press down gently on the flex cable connectors until they click securely onto the sub-board.

    Reinstall the lower speaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board and press it into place.

    Fasten the speaker housing screws

    Tighten the Phillips #000 screws to secure the loudspeaker assembly in place.

    Apply new adhesive to the lower glass

    Clean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh pre-cut adhesive tape to the rear frame perimeter.

    Press the lower back glass into place

    Align the lower rear glass panel with the phone frame and press firmly to seal the adhesive.
