   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the lower back glass

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat across the lower glass panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive beneath.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower back glass near the bottom edge and pull upward to create a slight gap.

   Slice the lower glass adhesive

   Insert a plastic prying pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around the perimeter of the lower glass to cut through the adhesive.

   Remove the lower glass panel

   Gently lift the lower rear glass cover off the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Heat the upper back glass

   Use a heat gun to heat the upper rear glass panel surrounding the cover display for approximately two minutes.

   Slice the upper glass adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic pick along the top edge of the upper glass and slice around the perimeter to break the factory seal.

   Remove the upper glass panel

   Lift the upper rear glass off the frame carefully, avoiding damage to the display ribbon underneath.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging coil.

    Remove the wireless charging coil

    Use tweezers to lift and remove the wireless charging coil assembly along with the attached motherboard bracket.

    Disconnect the lower battery connector

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the lower battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Pry the upper battery press connector off the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew the speaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover to the bottom housing frame.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Pry up the lower speaker housing with a spudger and lift it clear of the lower frame.

    Apply alcohol to lower battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the main lower battery cell.

    Pry out the lower battery

    Insert a plastic prying tool under the lower battery and gently lever it up until the adhesive releases completely.

    Apply alcohol to upper battery

    Dispense a small amount of isopropyl alcohol along the parameter of the smaller upper battery.

    Pry out the upper battery

    Lever the upper battery cell out of its recess using a plastic spudger, taking care not to bend the cell.

    Clean the battery compartments

    Wipe down both battery wells with a lint-free cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol to remove lingering adhesive residue.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel and lay down fresh battery adhesive strips into both the upper and lower battery frame recesses.

    Position the replacement batteries

    Place the new replacement upper and lower batteries into their respective compartments and press down firmly to secure them.

    Reconnect the battery cables

    Align and press the flex cable connectors for both replacement batteries into their motherboard sockets until they snap into place.
