   Power off device

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the upper-left side of the device. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat lower rear glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the lower rear glass panel for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the glass to the chassis.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the heated lower glass panel. Pull upward gently to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Take care not to insert it deeper than 3 mm to avoid internal components.

   Slice lower glass adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around the perimeter of the lower back glass. Cut through all remaining adhesive along the bottom, left, and right edges.

   Remove lower rear glass

   Carefully lift the lower glass panel straight off the phone frame. Place it aside on a clean surface.

   Unbolt lower cover screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower speaker and motherboard cover bracket.

   Pry up lower cover bracket

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the top edge of the lower plastic cover bracket. Gently pry up to release the plastic clips holding it in place.

    Remove speaker housing assembly

    Lift the speaker housing assembly out of the phone body. Set the damaged speaker cover aside.

    Clean frame adhesive residue

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol to the frame edges. Use a plastic pick to scrape off old adhesive residual.

    Position replacement speaker module

    Align the new loudspeaker assembly over the lower sub-board socket area. Press down gently until it sits flush within the recessed lower chassis.

    Fasten lower cover screws

    Reinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws into the lower speaker cover bracket. Tighten each screw until snug without overtightening.

    Apply new rear glass adhesive

    Peel the backing from a custom pre-cut adhesive strip and press it onto the rim of the phone frame. Remove the remaining protective liner.

    Reattach lower rear glass

    2 min

    Align the lower rear glass panel precisely over the lower section of the phone. Press down firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive seal.
