   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely powered off before continuing.

   Heat Upper Back Glass

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer around the top rear glass panel for two minutes. Keep the heat moving continuously to soften the perimeter adhesive without overheating the display.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the upper back glass panel. Pull gently upward to create a thin gap between the glass and the phone frame.

   Slice Edge Adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick along the top and side seams to break the adhesive bond.

   Lift Upper Back Cover

   Gently lift the upper back glass away from the main frame. Set the glass panel aside in a safe, dust-free spot.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper motherboard midframe shield in place. Organize the screws by location for reassembly.

   Remove Upper Midframe Shield

   Insert the flat tip of a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the upper midframe shield. Pry gently upward to unhook the plastic clips and remove the shield.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Locate the battery flex cable connected to the mainboard. Use a plastic spudger to pry the press connector straight up to isolate power.

   Disconnect Power Button Connector

   Find the power button and fingerprint sensor flex connector on the top right side of the mainboard. Pry it straight up off its socket using a spudger.

    Remove Power Button Bracket

    Locate the small metal bracket holding the power button mechanism inside the side frame recess. Remove its retaining screw with a Phillips #00 screwdriver and lift the bracket out using tweezers.

    Extract Damaged Power Button

    Gently insert precision tweezers behind the power button flex cable inside the frame slot. Peel the flex cable away from the internal adhesive and push the button outward to remove it.

    Install New Power Button

    Peel the protective film off the self-adhesive strip on the replacement power button assembly. Carefully slide the button key into the side frame cutout from the inside.

    Secure Power Button Bracket

    Position the metal retaining bracket back over the power button assembly. Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screw until snug.

    Attach Power Button Connector

    Align the power button flex connector over its designated socket on the mainboard. Press down firmly with your fingertip or a spudger until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Battery Flex

    Align the battery connector over its socket on the mainboard. Press down gently until you feel a soft snap.

    Reinstall Upper Midframe

    Lower the upper midframe shield onto the housing and press along the edges to engage the clips. Fasten all Phillips #00 screws tightly.

    Reseal Upper Back Glass

    Clean remaining old glue from the frame using 99% isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips. Press the back glass firmly into place to secure the seal.
