   Turn Off Phone

   Power off your Galaxy Z Flip 5 completely and lay it unfolded flat on your workspace.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the upper frame to remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat Lower Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun on low heat across the lower rear glass panel for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the lower back glass panel.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick into the lower glass seam.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around the lower and side edges to slice through the remaining frame adhesive.

   Remove Lower Glass Cover

   Lift the lower back glass cover straight off the chassis and set it aside.

   Unscrew Speaker Housing

   Remove the seven Phillips #000 screws securing the lower speaker and daughterboard cover assembly.

   Pry Lower Cover

   Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the notch on the speaker cover and gently pry up.

    Remove Speaker Assembly

    Lift the lower speaker bracket off the phone frame and place it safely to the side.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to disconnect the lower battery flex cable from the circuit board.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cables

    Pry up the two main flex interconnect connectors attached to the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Unclip the blue and white antenna coaxial cables from the sub-board using fine-tip tweezers.

    Unscrew Daughterboard

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw anchoring the USB-C daughterboard to the aluminum frame.

    Remove USB-C Daughterboard

    Gently pry the daughterboard up out of its recess in the frame and remove it.

    Position New Daughterboard

    Set the new USB-C daughterboard into the bottom compartment of the frame.

    Secure Daughterboard Screw

    Reinstall and tighten the single Phillips #000 screw to secure the new daughterboard.

    Reconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Use tweezers to snap the coaxial antenna connectors back onto their matching headers on the daughterboard.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cables

    Align and press down on the interconnect flex connectors until they snap into place on the sub-board.

    Reconnect Battery Flex

    Snap the lower battery press connector back onto its socket on the daughterboard.

    Reinstall Speaker Cover

    Align the speaker assembly bracket over the lower frame and press it flat into place.

    Drive Assembly Screws

    Secure the speaker assembly by driving in the seven Phillips #000 screws.

    Clean Old Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive residue from the frame and rear glass panel using high-percentage isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Adhesive

    Apply new custom-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter of the lower frame.

    Seal Rear Glass

    Align the lower rear glass cover over the chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the seal.
