   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower back glass panel near the bottom edge. Pull up gently on the handle to create a tiny gap between the glass and the housing.

   Slide a thin opening pick into the gap created under the bottom edge of the glass. Leave the pick in place to keep the adhesive from sticking again.

   Slice the lower panel adhesive

   Slide additional opening picks around all four sides of the lower back glass panel. Use caution near the hinge area to prevent tearing delicate flex cables.

   Remove the lower back glass

   Lift the lower back glass straight off the chassis once all perimeter adhesive is severed. Place the glass on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the lower motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower plastic motherboard bracket and speaker cover. Organize the screws for reassembly.

   Detach the wireless charging coil plate

   Use a spudger to unclip and remove the lower plastic motherboard cover and attached wireless charging element. Set the shield aside.

   Disconnect the lower battery flex cable

   Pry the lower battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket using the flat end of a plastic spudger. Do not use metal tools on battery press connectors.

    Dispense a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the upper and side margins of the lower battery. Let it soak for two minutes to dissolve the adhesive.

    Pry up the lower main battery

    Insert a plastic pry card under the lower battery and gently lever upward to release it from the chassis tray. Lift out and remove the lower main battery.

    Heat the upper back panel

    Warm the upper rear panel surrounding the outer cover display with a heat gun for two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to protect the external display screen.

    Slice the upper glass adhesive

    Insert an opening pick into the seam along the top glass panel and slice around the perimeter. Carefully navigate around the dual camera lens cutouts.

    Remove the upper back panel assembly

    Lift the upper glass cover off the frame once the adhesive is fully separated. Store it carefully to avoid getting dust inside the camera cover glass.

    Unscrew the upper motherboard bracket

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the upper motherboard protection bracket in place. Lift the bracket clear of the phone housing.

    Disconnect the upper sub-battery flex cable

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to the upper battery

    Pry out the upper sub-battery

    Wedge a plastic spudger beneath the upper sub-battery and lift it out from the cavity. Safely store the old batteries for proper recycling.
