   Power off the Z Flip

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Fold the device halfway to stabilize it on your work surface.

   Heat the upper back glass panel

   Apply a heat gun on low heat around the top back glass edges for 2 minutes. Soften the perimeter adhesive without focusing heat directly over the camera lenses.

   Remove the upper back glass

   Attach a suction cup to the upper glass panel and pull upward to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the edges to separate the glass.

   Heat the lower back glass panel

   Warm the lower rear glass panel using your heat gun for 2 minutes to loosen the adhesive seal. Keep the heat source moving continuously across the entire rear surface.

   Slice lower back glass adhesive

   Place a suction cup on the lower cover, pull up slightly, and insert an opening pick into the seam. Slide the pick around the three exterior edges and lift the panel off.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the top wireless charging coil bracket to the motherboard. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

   Detach the wireless charging coil assembly

   Use tweezers to peel the wireless charging pad off the motherboard shield. Carefully lift the plastic cover assembly away from the phone body.

   Disconnect the upper battery

   Insert the flat edge of a plastic spudger under the top battery connector pop-jack. Pry straight up to disconnect battery power from the main board.

    Remove the lower speaker enclosure

    Insert a spudger under the top edge of the loudspeaker module and pry upward. Remove the speaker unit from the lower chassis.

    Disconnect lower battery and screen cables

    Pry up the lower battery connector using a plastic spudger. Disconnect both the main display ribbon cable and the interconnect flex cable from the sub-board.

    Heat the main inner display border

    Unfold the phone completely and apply gentle heat along the outer plastic bezel of the inner display for 2 minutes. Avoid concentrating heat near the middle folding hinge.

    Pry off the plastic screen bezel trim

    Use fine tweezers to gently unclip and peel up the outer plastic bezel border around the inner display. Remove the entire protective trim ring carefully.

    Slice under the flexible display panel

    Slide a thin plastic pick underneath the flexible screen layer starting from the top corner. Slice carefully through the adhesive backing while working gently across the hinge area.

    Remove damaged screen and feed flex cables

    Lift the display assembly up while carefully feeding its attached ribbon cables out through the slots in the central metal frame. Lift and discard the damaged screen.

    Clean old adhesive from chassis frame

    Apply high-concentration isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free wipe and clean all old adhesive residue out of the frame channels. Ensure the seating surface is clean and dry.

    Apply display adhesive strips

    Align and lay down pre-cut display adhesive strips around the inner frame perimeter. Press firm pressure on the tape strips before peeling off the protective backing liners.

    Install the replacement display assembly

    Thread the new display flex cables down through the frame slots. Carefully seat the screen into the frame border, pressing lightly around edges to activate adhesive.

    Reconnect interior ribbon cables and batteries

    Press the display cable connector and lower interconnect cable into their respective board sockets. Reattach both battery press connectors to restore power lines.

    Reinstall lower speaker and upper brackets

    Set the loudspeaker module into the lower frame and tighten its screws. Position the wireless charging coil bracket over the motherboard and secure it with its screws.

    Seal the back glass panels

    Apply fresh rear glass adhesive strips to the upper and lower glass covers. Press both panels firmly onto the chassis to complete the repair.
