   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side of the phone to pop out the tray. Pull the SIM card tray completely out of the frame.

   Heat the upper back panel

   Apply a heat gun set to low temperature around the edges of the top cover glass for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the cover to the body.

   Slice upper panel adhesive

   Attach a suction cup to the upper back cover and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening pick and slide it along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive.

   Separate the upper back panel

   Carefully lift the top back glass away from the device chassis. Set the glass aside in a safe, dust-free location.

   Heat the lower back panel

   Warm the outer perimeter of the lower back glass using a heat gun for approximately two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to avoid spot overheating.

   Remove the lower back panel

   Insert an opening pick under the bottom edge of the lower back glass to cut the perimeter adhesive. Lift and remove the lower panel from the housing.

   Unscrew the upper midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper wireless charging pad and plastic midframe. Keep track of all removed hardware.

   Remove the upper midframe bracket

   Gently lift the upper midframe piece out of the upper phone half using tweezers. This exposes the main logic board underneath.

   Disconnect the battery connectors

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the dual battery flex connectors straight up from the logic board. Never use metallic tools on live connectors.

    Disconnect display and camera flex cables

    Carefully unclip the main display cable, front camera connector, and interconnect ribbon cables from the logic board. Inspect connectors for any dust or debris.

    Unscrew the logic board retaining screws

    Remove the small Phillips screws holding the upper logic board directly to the aluminum frame. Place the screws in a designated organizer tray.

    Remove the main logic board

    Insert a plastic spudger under the lower edge of the board and gently lift it up out of the frame. Avoid applying pressure to sensitive surface components.

    Install the replacement logic board

    Carefully position the replacement logic board into the upper compartment of the phone housing. Press down lightly until it sits completely flush.

    Reconnect all internal flex cables

    Press the display, camera, interconnect, and battery connectors straight down into their sockets until they snap into place. Connect the battery cables last.

    Reinstall and screw down the midframe

    Place the upper midframe cover back over the mainboard section. Reinsert and tighten all Phillips screws securely without overtightening.

    Reapply adhesive and attach back panels

    Clean remaining adhesive residue using isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh precut adhesive strips to both back panels. Align and press both glass covers firmly into place.
