Detach Upper Bracket Assembly
2 minPry up the edges of the upper motherboard bracket using a spudger and lift it off the frame.

Disconnect Battery Cable
2 minPry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using the flat end of a plastic spudger.

Disconnect Power Button Cable
2 minLocate the power button/fingerprint sensor flex cable connector near the upper frame edge. Gently pry it up from the motherboard.

Unclip Power Button Bracket
3 minUse fine tweezers to gently unhook and lift out the small metal retention bracket securing the power button in the frame slot.

Remove Old Power Button
3 minGently push the power button module inward from the outside of the frame, then remove it using tweezers.

Position New Power Button
3 minInsert the replacement power button and fingerprint sensor module into the side frame cutout until it sits flush.

Reinstall Retention Bracket
2 minPlace the metal retention bracket over the inside of the new power button assembly and snap it into the frame notch.

Reconnect Flex Cable
2 minAlign the power button flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks.

Reconnect Battery and Reassemble
5 minSnap the battery connector back onto the motherboard. Reinstall the plastic shield, tighten all screws, and reattach the rear glass with new adhesive.
