   Power off device

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Heat rear glass panel

   Apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the rear glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a small opening between the glass and frame.

   Slice rear panel adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slowly slice around the perimeter of the rear glass cover. Take extra care near the camera bump to avoid damage.

   Remove rear glass panel

   Lift the rear glass cover off the device frame. Set it aside safely on a clean workspace.

   Unscrew wireless charging coil bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the top plastic bracket and wireless charging assembly. Store screws in a organized tray.

   Detach wireless charging coil

   Gently pry up and peel the wireless charging pad and plastic bracket off the motherboard frame using a plastic spudger.

   Disconnect main battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to snap the main battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

   Heat front cover glass

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the outer cover screen for 2 minutes to soften the glue on the secondary battery side.

    Slice front cover adhesive

    Insert a thin opening pick between the outer cover display assembly and frame, slicing carefully around the perimeter.

    Disconnect cover screen flex

    Slightly lift the cover screen and disconnect its display cable from the logic board using a spudger, then remove the panel.

    Unscrew secondary housing bracket

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding down the secondary midframe cover protecting the smaller battery cell.

    Disconnect secondary battery cable

    Pry the secondary battery press-connector off its socket on the secondary circuit board using a plastic spudger.

    Softening battery adhesive

    Apply several drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol into the edges of both battery compartments and wait 2 minutes for it to loosen the strong adhesive.

    Pry out main battery

    Work a flat plastic pry tool under the main battery cell and gently lever it out. Do not bend or puncture the battery cell.

    Pry out secondary battery

    Insert a plastic spudger underneath the secondary battery cell and lift it out of its housing.

    Clean battery wells

    Wipe away old adhesive remnants from both battery bays using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install replacement batteries

    Apply pre-cut adhesive strips into both recesses, press the new replacement batteries into place, and reconnect their flex cables.
