Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the glass panel and the frame.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick around the bottom, side, and top edges to slice through the adhesive securing the rear glass.

Remove Rear Glass Panel
1 minGently lift the rear glass panel away from the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew Speaker Assembly
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker enclosure over the sub-board.

Remove Speaker Enclosure
1 minInsert a spudger beneath the lower speaker enclosure and lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Main Battery
1 minPry the main battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.

2 minPry up the press-fit connectors for the main interconnect ribbon cables on the lower sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna connectors straight up from the lower sub-board.

Unscrew Charging Port Board
1 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the USB-C daughterboard to the lower housing.

Remove Old Daughterboard
1 minPry gently underneath the USB-C daughterboard with a spudger and remove it from the device.

Clean Housing Recess
2 minUse a cotton swab lightly dampened with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clear any dust or leftover adhesive from the port area.

Position New Daughterboard
1 minAlign the replacement USB-C charging port board over the lower housing and press it flat into position.

Secure Daughterboard Screws
1 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to lock the new USB-C daughterboard in place.

Attach Antenna Cables
2 minAlign and snap the coaxial antenna cable connectors firmly back onto their sockets on the daughterboard.

Attach Interconnect Cables
2 minPress the interconnect ribbon cable connectors straight down onto the sub-board until they click into place.

Reconnect Main Battery
1 minPress the main battery flex connector straight down into its motherboard socket.

Reinstall Speaker Enclosure
2 minFit the lower speaker enclosure back into the frame and tighten the retaining Phillips screws.

2 minApply new pre-cut adhesive strips along the outer perimeter frame of the right rear housing.

Press Rear Glass Into Place
2 minAlign the rear glass cover over the chassis and press down firmly along all edges to set the seal.
