Step-by-step

Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws
2 minPower off your iPhone SE completely. Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.9 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning connector.

Apply Suction Cup
1 minAttach a suction cup to the lower left corner of the screen assembly, just above the home button. Ensure a firm seal against the glass.

Pry Open Lower Edge
3 minPull up gently on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening tool above the headphone jack. Gently twist to release the lower clips, opening the display slightly.

Unclip Touch ID Bracket
2 minSlightly open the screen and use tweezers to unhook the metal retaining bracket covering the Touch ID flex cable.

Disconnect Touch ID Cable
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the Touch ID cable connector from its socket. Open the front panel up to a 90-degree angle.

Remove Battery Shield Screws
2 minRemove the two Phillips #000 screws holding the battery connector metal bracket to the logic board.

Disconnect Battery Connector
1 minLift the metal battery bracket out and use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off the board.

Remove Display Cable Shield
2 minRemove the four Phillips #000 screws securing the display cable bracket at the top right of the device, then lift away the bracket.

Disconnect Display Cables
3 minDisconnect the front camera flex, digitizer, and LCD cables from the logic board using a spudger. Separate the display from the rear case.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
2 minRemove the three Phillips screws securing the loudspeaker assembly to the bottom right area of the case.

Remove Loudspeaker
1 minInsert a spudger underneath the loudspeaker module and gently lift it up and out of the rear case.

Insert Replacement Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the new loudspeaker module into the lower corner of the rear case, pressing it gently into position.

Secure Loudspeaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the three Phillips screws to firmly hold the replacement loudspeaker in place.

Reconnect Display Cables
4 minReconnect the LCD, digitizer, and camera flex cables, then replace the display bracket and its four Phillips screws.

Reconnect Battery and Touch ID
5 minReconnect the battery and display brackets, attach the Touch ID flex cable, snap its metal clip back into place, press the display flush, and reinstall the two bottom Pentalobe screws.
