Xreal Air 2 Pro Won't Charge

If your Xreal Air 2 Pro glasses fail to power up or your Xreal Beam won't take a charge while connected, the culprit is usually USB-C power negotiation or a bad cable seat.

Symptoms

  • OLED micro-displays remain completely black when plugged into a host device
  • Electrochromic dimming button fails to change lens tint
  • Xreal Beam indicator LEDs do not light up or charge when connected

  1. Step 1

What's going on

It is vital to understand a key hardware trait of the Xreal Air 2 Pro: these smart glasses do not contain an internal battery. Instead, they rely entirely on bus power delivered via USB-C from your connected host device, Xreal Beam, or proprietary adapter.
