   Power Off and Remove MicroSD Tray

   Turn off the Kindle Fire HD 8 completely. Insert an eject tool to pop out the microSD card tray.

   Heat the Edges of the Back Cover

   Apply heat around the outer perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the internal clips and adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup to Back Cover

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear plastic housing and press down firmly.

    Carefully pull the display glass away while feeding the flexible ribbon cables through the frame slot.
