   Power off device and remove SIM tray

   Press and hold the power button to turn off the phone completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the top pinhole to remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat rear glass perimeter

   Apply heat from a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the rear panel adhesive.

   Attach suction cup and create opening gap

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the rear glass and pull upward gently. Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created along the bottom seam.

   Slice through rear glass adhesive

   Move the opening pick along all four outer edges to cut through the adhesive. Keep the pick depth under 5mm to prevent damaging underlying flex cables.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor flex cable

   Gently tilt open the back glass from the right edge like a book cover. Use a plastic spudger to pop off the short fingerprint sensor connector before removing the back glass entirely.

   Unscrew top antenna and wireless charging pad

   Remove eleven Phillips #000 screws securing the upper plastic cover and attached wireless charging pad.

   Remove wireless charging module

   Pry up the right edge of the wireless charging pad using a spudger and lift the entire plastic assembly out of the phone frame.

   Disconnect battery flex cable

   Locate the battery flex cable on the right side of the motherboard and disconnect it using a plastic spudger.

   Unscrew bottom loudspeaker assembly

   Remove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the lower speaker module to the bottom frame.

    Lift out loudspeaker housing

    Pry under the edge of the loudspeaker using a spudger tool and pull the module out from the lower frame.

    Disconnect front camera and iris scanner

    Use a plastic spudger to unsnap the front-facing camera and iris sensor connectors from the top motherboard.

    Disconnect display and auxiliary flex connectors

    Unplug the display flex cable, touchscreen connector, and lower ribbon cables from their sockets on the motherboard.

    Remove motherboard assembly

    Carefully lift the motherboard up from the top section and pull it away from the frame assembly.

    Remove battery from chassis

    Apply high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the battery edges to break down the factory adhesive. Lever the battery out slowly using a flat plastic tool.

    Transfer earpiece speaker and vibration motor

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the earpiece speaker and circular vibration motor from the old chassis and insert them into the new screen frame.

    Install motherboard into new screen assembly

    Align the bottom of the motherboard first and seat it flush into the new display frame without catching flex cables underneath.

    Mount battery in new display frame

    Apply new adhesive strips into the battery compartment of the replacement frame, then press the battery firmly into position.

    Reconnect camera modules and display flex cables

    Place the front camera and iris scanner into their slots, then snap all display and auxiliary flex cables onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall bottom loudspeaker housing

    Position the loudspeaker assembly over the bottom frame port and reinstall the four Phillips #000 screws.

    Connect battery flex connector

    Press the battery flex cable directly onto its motherboard terminal until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall wireless charging assembly

    Set the wireless charging frame over the upper motherboard and secure it with the eleven Phillips #000 screws.

    Reconnect fingerprint reader cable

    Hold the back cover close to the chassis and snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable onto its port on the motherboard.

    Apply back cover adhesive gasket

    Clean remaining old glue off the rear glass with isopropyl alcohol, then lay down a fresh pre-cut adhesive seal along the outer rim.

    Press rear glass firmly into place

    Align the rear glass cover onto the chassis, press along the edges, and heat briefly to set the fresh adhesive bond.
