   Power Off the Galaxy S9 Plus

   Press and hold the power button, then select the shut down option on screen. Ensure the device is fully powered off before starting.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun set to low temperature along the outer edges of the rear glass for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the internal waterproof adhesive.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass cover. Gently pull upward on the ring to create a slight gap along the bottom seam.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the glass and the metal frame. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slowly slice the opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to separate the back glass. Reapply heat if the adhesive becomes resistant.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Cable

   Carefully tilt the rear glass open from the right side without pulling hard. Use a spudger to detach the short fingerprint sensor connector from the motherboard.

   Remove Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 15 screws securing the internal plastic midframe covers. Set the screws aside in an organized tray.

   Remove Upper Antenna Assembly

   Insert a spudger under the top edge of the upper plastic antenna and wireless charging pad assembly. Pry up gently to unclip and remove it.

   Remove Damaged Loudspeaker Module

   Pry beneath the lip of the lower speaker assembly with a plastic tool. Lift the loudspeaker module up and out of the bottom chassis.

    Install New Loudspeaker Module

    Align the replacement loudspeaker module with the bottom housing cavity. Press down along the module edges until it snaps firmly into position.

    Reinstall Antenna Cover and Screws

    Snap the upper antenna assembly back onto the motherboard. Secure the midframe and speaker housing using the 15 Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the rear glass near the frame and press the fingerprint sensor cable connector onto the motherboard until it clicks.

    Reseal Rear Glass

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips around the rim of the back glass. Align the glass on the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to seal.
