Step-by-step

Eject SIM Tray
2 minPower down your Galaxy S9 Plus completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the top frame hole to remove the SIM card and tray.

Heat Back Glass
3 minApply a heat gun or iOpener around all outer edges of the rear glass for two minutes to soften the strong perimeter adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward firmly to create a seam.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
4 minInsert an opening pick into the gap and slowly slide along the sides to cut through the adhesive. Avoid inserting the pick deeper than 5mm to prevent internal damage.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minTilt the back cover open slightly towards the right. Use a plastic spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard before lifting the glass free.

Remove Upper Frame Screws
3 minUnscrew the eleven Phillips #00 screws securing the top plastic cover and attached wireless charging pad.

Remove Wireless Charging Coil
2 minPry up the edges of the wireless charging assembly using a plastic opening tool and lift it out.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger to eliminate electrical risk.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
2 minRemove the five Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker assembly in place at the bottom of the phone.

Pry Out Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minInsert your spudger under the speaker module edge and lift it out to expose the lower sub-board with the microphone.

Disconnect Lower Sub-Board Flexes
3 minDisconnect the main display flex, interconnect cable, and two antenna coax cables from the bottom sub-board.

Remove Sub-Board Mounting Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the microphone daughterboard to the phone frame.

Extract Microphone Sub-Board
2 minUse tweezers to gently pry up and remove the old daughterboard assembly housing the primary voice microphone.

Install Replacement Microphone Sub-Board
2 minPlace the new replacement sub-board into position, press it gently into place, and secure it with the retaining screw.
