Power off the phone

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small pinhole on the side frame. Push straight in until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it.

Heat the back cover
2 minApply warmth to the outer perimeter of the rear panel using a heat gun on low power for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear panel. Pull upward gently to create a micro-gap between the cover and frame.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick directly into the seam opened by the suction cup.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the phone frame to separate the back cover glue.

Lift away the back cover
2 minGently lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew the speaker housing
2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover assembly.

Pry up the loudspeaker module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the speaker module and pop it out of the lower chassis.

Position the replacement speaker
2 minSet the new loudspeaker module into the lower bay and press gently until it sits flush.

Secure the speaker screws
2 minReinstall all Phillips #000 screws into the loudspeaker module housing until snug.

Apply new back cover adhesive
3 minClean remaining glue from the frame with isopropyl alcohol wipes, then lay down pre-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter.

Press the back cover into place
2 minAlign the rear panel perfectly over the frame and press firmly along the edges to seal the adhesive.
