Step-by-step

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left side of the device. Push firmly to pop out the tray and pull it out completely.

Heat the Back Cover
3 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear cover with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower center portion of the heated back panel and press down to create a tight seal.

Create an Opening Gap
2 minPull up on the suction cup while inserting a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and frame.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges to slice through the perimeter adhesive. Keep the pick insertion depth shallow.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the rear cover away from the phone body and place it on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Midframe Shield
3 minRemove all Phillips screws securing the top mother board shield and midframe assembly.

Pry Off the Midframe
2 minInsert a plastic spudger under the edge of the upper plastic shield and lift to unclip and remove it.

Attach Front Suction Cup
1 minPress the suction cup firmly onto the bottom section of the front screen glass.

Insert Display Opening Pick
2 minPull upward on the suction cup and push an opening pick into the gap between the display panel and the phone frame.

Separate Display Assembly
4 minSlide picks carefully around the entire perimeter to separate the damaged screen from the housing.

Lift Off Damaged Screen
2 minGently lift the screen off the chassis while carefully guiding the screen flex cable through its frame slot.

Clean Old Frame Adhesive
4 minScrape remaining adhesive and broken glass bits off the frame rim using a flat plastic tool and isopropyl alcohol.

Apply Display Adhesive
3 minPlace pre-cut adhesive strips around the cleaned perimeter ledge of the inner phone frame.

2 minThread the replacement screen flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen firmly into the housing.

Reconnect Main Cables
