   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off from the screen menu. Ensure the device is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM ejector tool into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply heat around the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes. Move the heat gun continuously to soften the perimeter adhesive evenly.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup tool near the lower edge of the back cover. Press down firmly to create a tight vacuum seal.

   Slice the Rear Adhesive

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap along the bottom seam. Insert a plastic prying tool into the gap and slide it along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Carefully lift the rear cover off the phone frame once all edges are sliced. Set the back panel aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker Housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly. Organize the screws so you can reinstall them in their original locations.

   Remove Loudspeaker Assembly

   Insert the flat edge of a spudger under the loudspeaker housing. Pry up gently to unclip and lift the housing out of the frame.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Locate the main battery flex connector on the motherboard. Pry the connector straight up using a plastic spudger to cut power to the device.

    Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

    Locate the interconnect ribbon cable on the bottom sub-board. Use a spudger to pop the flex cable press-connector out of its socket.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Use precision tweezers to pry up the antenna coaxial connectors attached to the daughterboard. Lift straight up to avoid bending the fragile connectors.

    Unscrew the Charging Port Sub-Board

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the daughterboard down to the lower frame.

    Pry Up the Charging Port Sub-Board

    Insert the tip of a spudger under the sub-board edge. Pry upward to loosen the board from any underlying adhesive and lift it out.

    Install New Charging Port Sub-Board

    Position the new charging port sub-board into its slot on the bottom frame. Press down lightly to sit it flush against the housing.

    Reconnect Antenna and Flex Cables

    Reattach the antenna coaxial cables using tweezers and press the interconnect flex cable down until it clicks into place. Reinstall the sub-board securing screw.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing and Connect Battery

    Snap the battery flex cable back into its socket. Place the loudspeaker cover over the sub-board and secure it with the removed Phillips screws.

    Seal and Secure Back Cover

    Clean remaining old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh adhesive tape along the perimeter. Align the back panel and press firmly around all edges to secure it.
