   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left edge of the Moto G14. Press firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer set to low heat along the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the panel to the frame.

   Apply suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the back cover. Pull upward on the handle to create a small gap between the panel and the outer frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it more than 3 mm to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Slice adhesive perimeter

   Slide the plastic pick along the sides, top, and bottom edges of the back cover to cut through all perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis once all adhesive is sliced. Set the panel aside on your work mat.

   Unscrew top motherboard cover

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield. Set the screws aside in an organized tray.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard socket to eliminate power to the board.

   Unscrew lower speaker assembly

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the bottom loudspeaker module positioned over the charging port board.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Insert a flat plastic spudger under the speaker module and pry it out from the phone housing.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use a spudger to carefully detach the ribbon interconnect cable connecting the charging sub-board to the main motherboard.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Grasp the white coaxial antenna cable connector with fine tweezers and snap it straight up off the sub-board.

    Remove the damaged charging sub-board

    Pry up the edge of the charging port sub-board using a spudger and lift it out from the lower housing.

    Install new charging sub-board

    Position the replacement charging port sub-board into the lower housing, pressing down gently until it sits flush.

    Reconnect antenna and main flex

    Snap the coaxial antenna cable and main interconnect ribbon cable firmly back onto the new sub-board sockets.

    Reinstall the speaker assembly

    Place the loudspeaker module back over the sub-board and secure it with the reserved Phillips #000 screws.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align and press down on the battery flex connector until it clicks securely onto the motherboard.

    Reattach top motherboard shield

    Set the top plastic motherboard shield back over the board and tighten its Phillips #000 screws.

    Reseal and attach back cover

    Apply fresh precut adhesive strips along the frame edges, then press the back cover firmly into place for 30 seconds.
