   Turn Off the Phone

   Press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears on the screen. Tap Power Off and wait for the screen to turn completely black.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then slide it out completely.

   Heat the Back Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer set to low heat to warm the outer edges of the rear cover for 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive and plastic clips holding the cover.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Place a suction cup on the lower back cover and pull gently to create a small gap. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam near the bottom.

   Unclip the Rear Cover

   Slide the opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to unlatch the plastic clips. Do not yank the cover off yet, as the fingerprint cable is still connected.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable

   Slightly tilt the rear cover up to expose the motherboard area. Use a spudger to pry up the fingerprint sensor press connector from the board, then remove the cover.

   Unscrew the Motherboard Cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic motherboard shield. Keep the screws organized by size and position for reassembly.

   Remove the Motherboard Cover

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the top edge of the plastic shield. Pry gently to unlatch it and set it aside.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Locate the battery connector on the right side of the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect it directly upward to cut power.

    Disconnect the Display Flex Cable

    Pry up the press connector for the display flex cable from the mainboard. Carefully unthread the flex cable gently from the frame path.

    Heat the Front Glass Assembly

    Apply even heat across the front display edges for 3 minutes using a heat gun. Ensure the glass feels warm to the touch to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Attach Suction Cup to Glass

    Press a strong suction cup onto the lower portion of the cracked glass screen. Pull upward on the ring to create a gap between the screen and metal frame.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Insert a plastic opening pick beneath the glass layer. Carefully slice along the side and bottom edges to separate the display glue from the frame.

    Lift and Remove Damaged Screen

    Swing the screen up from the frame while guiding the display flex cable through its frame slot. Lift the entire display assembly off the frame.

    Clean Frame Adhesives

    Scrape off residual glue and loose glass particles from the housing rim using tweezers and a spudger. Wipe the rim with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply Display Adhesive

    Lay down custom pre-cut screen adhesive or apply a thin, even bead of B-7000 liquid adhesive along the inner perimeter of the frame.

    Install the New Display Assembly

    Thread the flex cable of the new screen through the frame slot. Align the display accurately over the phone and press down firmly around the borders.

    Reconnect Internal Cables

    Press the display flex connector straight down onto its motherboard socket until it clicks. Reconnect the battery flex connector afterward.

    Reattach Motherboard Cover

    Position the plastic motherboard shield over the top board and press down to snap it into place. Reinstall and tighten all Phillips screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Reader and Close Back

    Connect the fingerprint reader flex cable to the motherboard. Align the rear cover with the phone body and press down around the edges until all clips snap shut.
