   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Remove Stylus

   Press the end of the stylus to release its spring lock. Slide the stylus out from the bottom right corner of the device.

   Heat Rear Panel

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Create Opening Gap

   Attach a suction cup to the lower back panel and pull upward while inserting an opening pick into the seam.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along all four sides of the back cover to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Lift Off Rear Panel

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside.

   Remove Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 16 screws securing the plastic midframe assembly.

   Detach Plastic Midframe

   Insert a plastic spudger along the edge of the midframe and unclip it from the frame perimeter.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using the flat end of a spudger.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Unplug the display flex cable from the motherboard to avoid snagging it during battery removal.

    Disconnect Main Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable that runs across the top of the battery.

    Apply Battery Adhesive Remover

    Place a few drops of isopropyl alcohol along the battery edges and let it sit for two minutes to weaken the glue.

    Unseat Battery Pull Tabs

    Peel back the clear plastic adhesive tabs from the top surface of the battery.

    Pry Out Old Battery

    Insert a plastic opening card under the battery and carefully lift it out of the recessed bay.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Wipe down the inside of the battery well with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to clear away remaining adhesive residue.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Apply new adhesive strips to the battery, align it inside the well, and press down firmly.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Snap the interconnect, display, and battery flex connectors back onto their respective motherboard sockets.

    Snap Midframe Into Place

    Position the plastic midframe over the motherboard and press firmly along the edges until all plastic clips engage.

    Reinstall Midframe Screws

    Replace and tighten the 16 Phillips #00 screws to secure the midframe assembly.

    Apply Rear Cover Adhesive

    Place pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter frame of the phone chassis.

    Seal Rear Cover

    Align the rear cover with the frame and press firmly along all edges to form a tight seal.

    Reinsert Stylus and SIM Tray

    Push the SIM card tray into its slot and slide the stylus back into its bay until it clicks into place.
