   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen.

   Remove SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the small hole on the side edge to pop out the tray.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat evenly around the rear edges for two minutes using a heat gun on low power.

   Attach suction cup to back cover

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear panel and pull upward to create a small gap.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the frame and rear cover.

   Slice rear adhesive

   Glide the pick continuously around all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover off the phone frame completely and place it aside.

   Unscrew motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic midframe cover.

   Detach upper midframe cover

   Pry up and remove the plastic motherboard shield using a spudger.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Pry up the display press connector located on the main logic board.

    Heat the front display

    Warm the front glass edges with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the screen glue.

    Attach suction cup to screen

    Press a suction cup onto the bottom section of the front glass assembly.

    Insert pick along screen seam

    Pull up on the suction cup handle and insert an opening pick under the display bezel.

    Slice display adhesive

    Slide the pick around the perimeter of the front panel to separate the screen from the chassis.

    Remove the damaged screen

    Carefully pull the display assembly away, feeding the flex ribbon through the slot in the frame.

    Clean old adhesive from frame

    Scrape remaining glue and glass fragments from the bezel using a spudger and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new display adhesive

    Lay fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the perimeter ledge of the frame.

    Thread and position new screen

    Feed the new display flex ribbon through the frame opening and set the panel flush into the frame.

    Reconnect display flex cable

    Align the display flex connector over its motherboard socket and press gently until it snaps in.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Snap the battery connector back into place on the mainboard.

    Reattach motherboard bracket

    Position the upper midframe cover back over the board and align all screw holes.

    Secure midframe screws

    Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #000 screws into the motherboard bracket.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Stick fresh adhesive strips along the edges of the inner rear housing.

    Press back cover in place

    Align the back panel over the chassis and apply firm pressure around all edges to bond.

    Reinsert SIM card tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone.
