   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the release hole on the SIM tray edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it completely.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back cover for 2 minutes using a heat gun or hairdryer. Keep the heat source moving to prevent localized overheating.

   Slice through back cover adhesive

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up gently to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it around the perimeter to slice the adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the back cover off the chassis. Set the rear panel aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the speaker enclosure

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker assembly. Group and organize the screws so they can be reinstalled correctly.

   Pry up the speaker enclosure

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the speaker module housing. Gently leverage it upwards to free it from the phone frame.

   Disconnect the main battery cable

   Locate the main battery flex connector near the top motherboard. Pry it straight up with a plastic spudger to cut power to the device.

   Disconnect the daughterboard interconnect flex

   Use a spudger to carefully detach the ribbon cable connector from the lower microphone daughterboard.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine-tip tweezers to gently pry the antenna cable connectors straight up off their sockets on the daughterboard. Avoid bending the delicate wire ends.

    Remove the old microphone daughterboard

    Insert a plastic prying tool beneath the corner of the daughterboard. Gently lift and remove the board from its recess in the lower chassis.

    Transfer the rubber microphone seal

    Peel the small rubber acoustic seal from the primary microphone on the original board using tweezers. Place and align this seal onto the microphone port of the new replacement board.

    Position the new microphone board

    Align the replacement daughterboard over the bottom housing cavity. Press down gently until it sits flat inside the frame.

    Reconnect all lower cables

    Snap the coaxial antenna connectors back onto the daughterboard headers using tweezers. Align and press the main interconnect ribbon connector down until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the main battery connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down firmly to re-establish power.

    Reattach the speaker enclosure

    Place the lower speaker housing over the daughterboard assembly and press down until it snaps into place. Fasten all previously removed Phillips #000 screws.

    Reseal the back cover

    Apply new pre-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter of the frame. Align the back cover onto the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to secure it.
